Ahmedabad: The BJP is expected to take up almost every seat in the Congress-dominated tribal belt, hoping for a landmark victory.The Grand Old Party is leading in less than 20 seats, one of the state's lowest numbers to date.The Congress, which had always had its primary voter base among the poor and underprivileged, had dominated the tribal belt since the 1950s.This is the first time the BJP has made such a big splash in the region.The Gujarat tribal belt has 27 seats, with the BJP leading in all, except for one.
