Boxer Nikhat Zareen tells CWG 2022, "My job is to throw punches inside the ring and make India proud."

Nikhat Zareen is the defending world champion boxer . She beat England's Stubley Alfia Savannah 5-0 in the womens 50kg category .

BIRMINGHAM, England (Saturday): Nikhat Zareen, a defending world champion boxer, said on Saturday that her only job was to land punches on her opponents inside the ring and make the world proud.Nikhat said she couldnt wait to get her second gold medal in three months after storming into the final of the womens 50kg category after outclassing Englands Stubley Alfia Savannah 5-0.Mera kaam hai bas ring mein jaake mukke fekna aur desh ka naam roshan karna (Making the country proud is my job).According to Nikhat, I need to cool down and start over.

Carly McNaul of Northern Ireland will compete for a gold medal. This was, I would say, my biggest challenge. She (Stubley) was expected to perform well, as she was a home favorite. She's a very promising young boxer, and it's nice to go out on top, she says.

I'm a sucker for a big thing to beat her in front of a home audience.Nikhat knew Stubleys game well, as she sparred with her a few times during preparation, which was useful. In the camp before CWG, she also sparred against her last opponent, Carly.I knew her style, but at the same time she had a good idea of me.

The 26-year-old said I'm just looking forward to my last fight against Carly McNaul of Northern Ireland.Nikhat said that being a world champion is the best achievement for her.(Each medal has its own significance) Par sab ki jagah alag hai (every medal has its own importance).I cant keep my parents separate, dad or mom, so I'm just like that.
