Bhopal: Vijender Singh, an Olympic medalist boxer and Congress leader, walked with Rahul Gandhi for a few kilometers after joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh today.Vijender Singh, who was born in Bhiwani district in Haryana, was a member of the last Lok Sabha race in South Delhi but finished third.He is best known for his bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the first Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal.In the Commonwealth Games, he has also won two silvers and one bronze.

Besides Bollywood and TV stars like Riya Sen, Mona Ambegaonkar, Rashami Desai, and Sushant Singh have also walked with him.
