Brasilia (British Columbia): Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro broke his silence on Friday for the first time since his election on October 30 and addressed supporters calling for a military coup to prevent Leftist President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva from taking office, adding, Who controls where I go is me.Bolsonaro said at the gates of the presidential residence that who controls the armed forces is you, but that the armed forces must respect the country's Constitution.Bolsonaro also said that the army forces are Brazil's bulwark to prevent socialism in the region, and that his silence encouraged supporters to hold protests outside of army bases.They owe their allegiance to our families and the constitution, and they are responsible for our freedom, he said.
