According to officials, two motorcyclists were charred to death after a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus crashed into Palse village on the Nashik-Pune highway about 11.45 am on Thursday morning, causing a brake failure and smashing into another MSRTC bus coming from Sinnar, according to a source.One individual was hospitalized with serious injuries.The bus coming from Rajgurunagar also caught fire, according to a police official.Local residents broke the windows of the burning bus and rescued all 43 passengers, according to the police official.The bus driver's name has yet to be announced.
Officials said the bus driver's GPS system, which had apparently failed, was non-functional, and that the committee was expected to produce its report in a day or two.
