New Delhi, Jan. 20: In the Rajya Sabha today, the Bharatiya Janata Party Kirodi Lal Meena introduced the Uniform Civil Code in India Bill, 2020, as a Private Member Bill, in the face of strong opposition, which was rejected by 63-23 by one MP, who said that a Uniform Civil Code should be introduced without a broad public consultation with diverse communities.
