Chennai: Conman raids CMDA officials' homes while posing as an anti-graft officer.

CHENNAI: A conman searched the residence of a CMDA official in Koyambedu, pretending to be from the Department of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC).The man who raided the officials house alone did not take any documents or property.If he is a part of a gang targeting government officials, police are looking.According to police reports, the boss called the executive engineer with CMDA and said to be an inspector with DVAC.

After abducting his home, the conman ordered a registrar to drop him at Koyambedu.After calling DVAC, the engineer discovered that no such investigation was authorized by the department, which gave him the revelation that he was being conned and filed a police lawsuit.
