Chinese national arrested in UP for fraud of more than Rs. 1.25 crore: police

UPDATED: According to a senior police officer, a 33-year-old Chinese national was arrested by the police in Greater Noida on Tuesday in connection with a probe into a case of fraud worth over Rs 1.25 crore.The investigation took place at the Dadri Police Station in April 2021, and four other suspects, all Indians, were also arrested.According to the officer, Haomin, a Chinese passport holder, now lives in Gurugram, Haryana, where he was arrested in April 2020 by Haomin and the other four defendants, who told him they were running a business development and engineering firm.Although the total bill amount was estimated to be around Rs 1.40 crore, the payments were made in chunks.
