Civic organisation in Tamil Nadu urged to relocate Karimedu police station due to 44 lakh rent arrears

M Jeyaram, a ward 58 councillor, told the council that the Karimedu police station has an outstanding rent of 44 lakh that has been paid to the corporation since 2015 . He urged the corporation authorities to relocate the police station from the community hall to the Karimedu fish market .

M Jeyaram, a ward 58 councillor, told the council on Thursday that the Karimedu police station has an outstanding rent of 44 lakh that has been paid to the corporation since 2015.He urged the corporation authorities to relocate the police station from the community hall to the Karimedu fish market on the city's outskirts.Jeyaram also requested that the corporation relocate Amma canteen to another civic hall held by the city hall.Although the Amma canteen was once used by many, the number has declined and it could be relocated to a new location, he said.

Jeyaram, who was speaking to the council for the first time, claimed that the previous government employed 1,960 staffers but that there are just 750 employees, and demanded that the investigation be conducted.
