Civilian killed in Shopian incident due to cross-firing

A civilian was wounded in a cross-fire in Turkwagam, in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir . The wounded man was admitted to District Hospital in Pulwama for medical attention, where he succumbed to injuries .

Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) India, May 15: According to police, a civilian who was wounded in a cross-fire in Turkwagam, in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.The civilian was identified as Shoib Ahmad Ganie (22), a resident of Turkiwangam.The wounded man was admitted to District Hospital in Pulwama for medical attention, where he succumbed to injuries.Near the bridge connecting Litter, Pulwama with Turkwangam, a terrorist opened fire on a joint patrol group of CRPF-182 BnSOG of Pulwama.

The terrorists slipped into nearby orchards, according to the police, who reported that a case had been registered and investigated.More details are being hoped for.
