CM: 23k adolescents have received job letters as a result of the election promise

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the state's largest-ever exercise on Saturday, handing over appointment letters to about 23,000 job seekers in 11 government departments.Sarma described it as a spiritual moment as the state government took a big leap forward in delivering on its promise of giving one lakh jobs to youths every year.He said the hiring process was completely transparent.No one had to pay a single penny as a bribe during the appointment process.According to Sarma, it has been totally free of graft.The CM has encouraged new recruits to work hard to enrich the lives of the marginalized.

The rest of the candidates received their letters from government.The highest number of applicants was selected by the home and education departments.For 8,867 positions in the home department, 11,063 in the education department, 330 in the public health engineering department, and 105 in the water resources department, appointment letters were distributed.69 people were commissioned in the social welfare department, but 2,419 were in the health department, 55 in the agriculture department, 23, in the environment and forest department, and eight in the PWD department.

The CM continued to say that the ministers in his cabinet acted tirelessly during this period, and that as a result the government could offer jobs to 4,779 youths.He said that in the coming days, plans will be made to nominate 7,000 to 8,000 youths in government services.In the last week of July, he also announced that the government would conduct written examinations for the recruitment of candidates to 26,000 positions.
