CM and guv honour CRPF constable who was slain in an encounter

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and governor Ramesh Bais paid their respects to CRPF constable Chitranjan Kumar . Kumar died on Wednesday after being hospitalized during an anti-Maoist operation in Chatra .

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren and governor Ramesh Bais paid their respects to CRPF constable Chitranjan Kumar, who died on Wednesday after being hospitalized during an anti-Maoist operation in Chatra on Sunday.After being airlifted to Ranchi and subsequently admitted to a private hospital, he was transferred to Chatra and admitted.Kumars family members were greeted at the 133rd battalion headquarters in Dhurwa, where he was rescued by top government and CRPF officials.During the confrontation with the extremists, the CRPF constable fought with zeal.

Bais said that I have told the surviving family that the government will take care of their needs.The incident occurred in a village near the border of Pratappur and Kunda police stations in Chatra.
