Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected districts . Around 25mm or more rainfall was recorded in 16 UP districts between Thursday and Friday morning .

LUCKNOW: On Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected districts in the state and urged district magistrates concerned to carry out prompt relief operations.The CM examined the state of floods in Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Gonda, and Barabanki, which flows through the Saryu river.According to the relief commissioners office, around 25mm or more rainfall was recorded in 16 UP districts between Thursday and Friday morning.According to reports obtained on Friday, 247 villages in 14 districts were affected by floods.

In Etawah, ten people died, three in Firozabad, and one in Kasganj and Hamirpur.Lightning struck in Mainpuri, Shahjahanpur, and Hardoi, killing two more people in the area.One individual drowned in Prayagraj, while two others were reported missing in Ballia after being swept away by the river.The CM, who was in Gorakhpur on Thursday, took a helicopter to carry out the survey.

Eight teams of the National Disaster Relief Force have been sent to seven districts-Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Varanasi, Bahraich, Ayodhya, and Bareilly.An official said that another 15 teams of the State Disaster Relief Force had been stationed in Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Moradabad, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Etawah, Ayodhya, and Mirzapur.
