Mangaluru: Though the rainfall has been moderate to heavy in the three coastal districts of the state, there has been no rainfall since a week, compared to the same period last year.In the last week, the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada (DK), Udupi, and Uttara Kannada have seen little rain except for a few days.The total rain fell for Friday to 49%, with DK topping with a deficit of 68% for rain in the last 24 hours, beginning on Friday morning.While DK received 12.9mm of rain, which was 40 mm at the same time last year, Uttara Kannada received 19 mm of rain, which was 162mm at the same time last year, and fishermen were cautioned not to venture into the water.IMD also warned of heavy to very heavy rain, ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm, in isolated spots along the coastal districts until Wednesday.
