Shimla: Although Congress took control from the BJP in Himalayan Pradesh by 40 percent, the group barely scrapped by in 15 seats, with the victory margin being less than 2,000.In Bhattiyat, Balh, Una, Jaswan Pragpur, Lahaul, Sarkaghat, and Nahan, the margin was only between 1,000 and 2,000 votes.Mohan Lal Brakta took a 19,339-vote lead in the Rohru reserve constituency, followed by 171 and 276, the winning margin for BJP candidates Randhir Sharma and Trilok Jamwal, who ran in the polls from Sri Naina Devi and Bilaspur.The difference in vote share was only 0.90 percent, according to Chief Minister Thakur, who spoke to the media here on Thursday.Despite all of this, Congress took a majority of seats.

When asked what went wrong with the BJP, Mr Thakur said the explanations for his fall would be discussed later.
