Tirupur: To prevent people from crowded at the ration shop in Karuvappanaickenur village near Udumalpet in the district, a salesman formed a WhatsApp group named Karuvappanaickenur ration after seeing people returning empty-handed because items are not available, said G Saravanakumar, 40.I will inform cardholders of the products offered at the shop by the group and remind them of a particular ward to come and pick up the same.If the shop is overcrowded, the information will be shared with the shopkeepers.Saravanakumar has also sent requests for urgent blood donation to the group, saving precious lives and spreading good news as well.Nearby villagers are also appreciative of the initiative and are planning to follow suit to ensure a smoother operation of ration shops in their communities.
