Cuttack guy tries to commit suicide after becoming furious over police inaction.

Gunanidhi Bisoi, 52, has been identified as a suspect in a land dispute . Bisoi, a resident of Ishani Brahmapur village, has lodged a lawsuit at Kishan Nagar police station on June 19 .

CUTTACK: On Thursday, a 52-year-old man attempted self-immolation outside a Kishan Nagar police station in Cuttack's Salepur district.His condition is said to be critical.Gunanidhi Bisoi of Ishani Brahmapur village, near Salepur, has been identified as a suspect in a land dispute, according to police.Bisoi, a resident of Ishani Brahmapur village, has lodged a lawsuit at Kishan Nagar police station on June 19.

He had gone to the police station on Thursday, but was refused to speak with any police official.Following a land dispute, a group of men assaulted Bisoi on June 19.Bisoi had been going to Kishan Nagar police station from that day only to be appalled by the policemen.Though the policemen registered an FIR on Wednesday, a local resident said they did not take any action.

The fire was extinguished by locals and police officers stationed there.They rescued him in a critical condition and took him to SCB Medical College and Hospital.Bisoi was later transferred to Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack.According to Cuttack Rural Superintendent of Police Jugal Kishore Banoth, he is admitted to the Ashwini Hospital ICU and his condition is critical as he has incurred more than 80% burns.
