Avinash Sable won silver medal for India at Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham . He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always encouraged the athletes to succeed .

Birmingham, United Kingdom, August 6: Avinash Sable said that even though he did not win a medal in the Tokyo Olympics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pushed the athletes to succeed.Avinash Sable, an Indian athlete, won a silver medal for the country after finishing second in the final of the mens 3000 meter steeplechase competition at the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham on Saturday.Sable was not in contention at the time, as he was in fourth place when he topped 1,000 and 2,000 meters respectively.But in the final 1,000 meters, he increased his speed to finish in second position and captured a silver medal for the country.He clocked the 8:11.20 time, his personal record.And though we did not win a medal in the Tokyo Olympics, Prime Minister Modi never let us forget it.
