DIG, CBI Mohd Suvez Haque and Joint Commissioner of Police Nangre Patil are both deposed before the Koregaon Bhima Inquiry commission.

Vishwas Nangre Patil, 48, and Mohd Suvez Haque, DIG, CBI, Mumbai, a former superintendent of Police, Pune (rural), were deposed before the Koregaon Bhima commission of inquiry on Thursday . Patil said in his affidavit filed in February 2022 that he took steps to ensure that the proper bandobast was formed at Koregaon Bhima on January 1, 2018 .

Vishwas Nangre Patil, 48, and Mohd Suvez Haque, DIG, CBI, Mumbai, a former superintendent of Police, Pune (rural), were deposed before the Koregaon Bhima commission of inquiry on Thursday.Both were shown the affidavit, each submitted by a commission advocate, Ashish Satpute.They also agreed that the text is true to their personal experience and that it may be considered as their evidence.Patil said in his affidavit filed in February 2022 that he took steps to ensure that the proper bandobast was formed at Koregaon Bhima on January 1, 2018, and that he had visited the area and dispersed the crowd gathering at chowks and roads.

According to his affidavit, I gave detailed instructions, mobilized forces, and guaranteed safety to all citizens in the region.Patil described post riot events that brought peace and harmony, saying that I personally intervened at Shikrapur, pacified people, met with people blocking the road, and ensured that the crowd at Koregaon Bhima was dispersed peacefully.Patil said on January 2, 2018, he convened a meeting of leaders from all the KB groups, and I pacified both sections by means of successful negotiations.Locals said in writing that they had no objection or grudge against the Jaystambh celebrations, and that they would welcome devotee brethren from across the state to pay their respects to the occasion in the coming year.

Patil was discharged by the commission headed by Justice J N Patel, the retired Chief Justice of Calcutta high court and member Sumit Mullick, an IAS officer, because other attorneys appearing before the Commission are not present and the witness is busy preserving law and order, according to Patil.Both are expected to be notified of the next date for their cross examination in due course.I was hospitalized on January 1, 2018, and nine Police Officers and sixty Policemen were injured, according to Haque in his deposition.I will file my medical report on the next date, as part of Bandobast.

Patil said he had called a meeting of all five SPs in his range on December 30, 2017, to meet and lead them about the massive crow for new year festivities, while Koregaon Bhima bandobast alerted them about potential obstacles.Patils affidavit said that he had ordered the Pune rural SP to activate and alert his intelligence apparatus, activate and use a social media monitoring system to keep an eye on social media, and to spot suspected notorious individuals and keep them from creating annoyance.Patil said on the day of the riots on January 1, 2018, he spoke with SP Pune rural and others personally, and that the situation was peaceful, and that the SP categorically stated to me in the morning.He heard of stone pelting around 12.30 p.m., informing and coordinating with police in Pune to take immediate action and ordering that 24 officers and 290 men with riot control equipment be sent urgently in two slots to Koregaon Bhima.
