ED seizes 32 properties belonging to TMC leader Anubrata Mondals' close aide in the cattle smuggling case.

The Enforcement Directorate provisionally attached 32 buildings worth Rs 1.59 crore on Tuesday . Sehgal Hossain and his family members were close confidante of Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal .

New Delhi, India, December 6: In the cattle smuggling case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) provisionally attached 32 buildings worth Rs 1.59 crore on Tuesday.According to the ED statement, Sehgal Hossain and his family members were close confidante of Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal and one of the leading figures in the whole smuggling racket used to smuggle cattle across the India-Bangladesh border.The ED opened the lawsuit against Satish Kumar, the then commandant of the Border Security Force (BSF)-36 Battalion, Enamul Haque, Anarul SK, Golam Mustafa, and other officials of the BSF, Indian Customs, and unknown others, on the basis of an FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against him for allegedly commissioning a punishable offence under sections 120B of the IPC and various sections On September 25, 2020, the ED registered a PMLA lawsuit, based on the FIR.In the investigation, Enamul Haque, Satish Kumar, and Sehgal Hossain were arrested by the ED and are now in judicial custody in Delhi.

The ED has accumulated Rs 20.25 crore in total.The total proceeds of crime in this case has been estimated at Rs 29.43 crore as at this time.
