Washington, December 8, 2018: Apple, the world's largest tech company, has announced that it would eventually add end-to-end encryption to iCloud backups, according to an American technology news website, including a screenshot from Apple, which indicates that these categories are now covered when you turn on Advanced Data Protection: device backups, messages backups, iCloud Drive, Notes, Photos, Reminders, Safari bookmarks, Voice Memos, and Wallet Passes.According to Apple's press release, the only major categories not covered by Advanced Data Protection are iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendar, as a result of the need to interoperate with the global email, contacts, and calendar systems, according to Apple, meaning that the company — or law enforcement — cannot access your data from Apples databases until the end of the year, and that in early 2023, it will begin rolling out globally, including in China, according to The Wall Street Journal
