VADODARA: A blooper in the Gujarat boards social science textbook of Class 10 that has gone unnoticed for the past few years reveals that the legislation that allows for forced religious conversion has finally been changed by inserting a not at the correct place.The sentence on page 171 of Chapter 20 of the textbook Social Problems in India and Challenges was being repeated in the same chapter and on the same page.The error had troubled a Godhra teacher who wanted to investigate the matter.Others argued that the legislation does not allow for ambitious religious conversions that ask students to correct the sentence in their textbooks by themselves.

The mistake has been present for years, but it has now been corrected in the most recent version.I checked and discovered the change when a student brought a new book to me, the teacher said.
