Ex-Sena MLA: If CM Thackeray doesn't break relations with NCP and Congress, I'll support the Shiv Sena's renegade faction.

Vijay Shivtare says he will support rebel legislators led by Eknath Shinde . Shivtare says he has no choice but to support rebel legislators led by Shinde .

PUNE: Former Shiv Sena MLA from Pune district Vijay Shivtare said on Wednesday that if party president and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray declines to tie up with the NCP and Congress, he will have no other choice but to support rebel legislators led by Eknath Shinde.Despite writing to Thackeray in letters claiming that several development initiatives had been moved away from his constituency or stalled by the NCP, he denied his allegations.Sena is a member of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) party, and also shares control with the NCP and Congress. In the 2019 state elections, Congress Sanjay Jagtap defeated Shivtare, who had represented the Purandar constituency twice and was a minister in the erstwhile Devendra Fadnavis-led government.

Despite the CM's presence, the proposed international airport in Purandar's terminal was moved to Supe (approximately 40 kms from Baramati).CM Thackeray was aware of the initiative.I had a lengthy discussion with him about it.I should have been asked if NCP leaders wanted to change the terminal, but it didn't happen.

The NCP's projects in our constituency were either moved or stopped, due to a lot of cleverness. In such a situation, it is not appropriate for us to work with the NCP, he said, despite providing information to the chief minister about this.He said the rebel MLAs' sentiments are still with Shiv Sena, echoing his assertions. They are also the Shiv sainiks of Balasaheb Thackeray, but they do not want to join the MVA, according to him.

We have reached a compromise on this point, and it will be sent to Uddhavji. But, he said, we can't remain in the current dispensation in the interest of the people if he continues to be with NCP and Congress. In Purandar, senior district Sena leaders, party leaders, panchayat Samiti, and Zilla Parishad leaders met, and a vote was taken unanimously.According to CM Thackeray, the initiative aimed at breaking the MVA's ties and taking the appropriate action would be passed and sent to him.

All these Shiv Sena contenders were at the second position.Any seats on the MVA could be relegated to the NCP and Congress if their MLAs from their parties are already sitting MLAs, according to the MVA.What would be Shiv Sena's future in the constituency he questioned? We will have no choice but to support the Shinde party if the chief minister continues to go with the MVA and is unable to accept him, he said.

In Pune district, NCP harassed Shiv Sena. The National Congress Party (NCP) was instrumental in bringing Shiv Sena to an end.Shiv Sena would not survive and exist in the district as a result of their strategy, he said.He denied that he is still in Shiv Sena.
