Exclusive: Marathi debut for Shanvi Srivastava with Ugramm adaption

Shanvi Srivastava will star in Marathi in a remake of Ugramm . The actress has previously starred in Malayalam and Telugu films .

Shanvi Srivastava, who premiered in Malayalam alongside Nivin Pauly-starrer Mahaveeryar, will continue exploring a different regional film genre, namely in Marathi.In Raanti, Sharad Kelkar will star alongside her in a film directed by Samit Kakkad.Shanvi explains, I am excited about a reimagining of Ugramm.I love being a part of this film, particularly since I am a member of the Kannada community.

The film is called Raanti, which stands for while.On Thursday, the actress began filming for the film in Mumbai.According to Shanvi, the character I play shares the essence of what Hariprriya wrote about in the book, but the characteristics are different.I play someone who comes from abroad, is amusing, energetic, and modern.

As for what motivates her to explore new language fields, she says, I have participated in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Chinese, and now Marathi.I am relearning a new language all over again.It's both a joy and a challenge.It's interesting that after working in this field for so many years, I still feel like a newcomer.

It's like starting over again.I'm certain that by the end of this year, I'll be doing something in Tamil or Hindi.I am certain that something is about to happen.Shanvi says she is especially proud of her Malayalam debut, saying, Going to the Malayalam film industry, where films are all performance-oriented and concept-based, and coming out with a performance that is lauded by critics is what matters the most.

I've overdone what I thought I could do and stepped out of my comfort zone.
