Chandigarh: BJPs Hisar MP, Brijendera Singh, urged the Union government on Friday to discourage the use of extensions in the service of bureaucrats at a time when the Haryana government is awaiting DoPT's response.BJPs Hisar MP also rebuffed the BJP-JJP government by claiming that Haryana had a sufficient number of officers for the categories for which the extension was sought.Brijendera Singh was asked to address the issue she had brought on Thursday during the Zero Hour.State governments have a tendency to be officers deficient, as shown by the aforementioned diagram.

Consider Haryana as an example. The apex time scale and the following super time scale should be 2% and 8%.Haryana has 16 officers and a supertime scale of 170 officers; the total number of officers in the district is 170, according to Brijendra.Extensions could discourage new and fresh officers, he said.

He said that the Union government should have a veto power over the issue of central deputation, while leaving out the state government's or the officer concerned's consent.Last month, the Haryana government strongly encouraged the extension of three officers, namely Rajeev Arora, Devendera Singh, and P K Das.Arora and Singh received their superannuation on Sunday and were ecstatic when the Union government refused to respond. The dass superannuation will be paid out on August 30.
