Ponda: Jahangir Islam, 32, and Shaikh Nadeem Khan, 52, from Bagerhat district, Bangladesh's Khulna division, were jailed for five days by a Ponda court on Thursday in connection with an ATM robbery at Tisk-Usgao.On September 15, the accused were arrested at the Gannavaram police station in Andhra Pradesh and released them to Ponda.Late last month, Gannavaram police arrested them at a local train station for attempting to rob an SBI ATM there.Four others are still on the loose, however.

Both were later discovered abandoned at Piliem-Dharbandora, a kilometer away.They flocked to Hubballi by train and stayed there for a day before returning to Gannavaram, after the robbery.It was confirmed that the same men who were behind the Usgao robbery were the same men who were tracked down, according to Ponda DySP C L Patil.
