Farmers in Marathwada have received a total of $6 billion in crop loans so far.

Farmers from the eight districts of Marathwada district received Rs6,576 crore from state owned, private, rural, as well as cooperative banks . The money has been distributed to 9.81 lakh farmers in the area .

Banks in Parbhani district have so far disbursed the lowest crop loans at Rs489 crore, against a target of Rs1,204.15 crore.According to senior officials in the Parbhani district administration, the crop loan disbursement was about 41 percent.The banks in Nanded district were able to earn over 70% of the given target by disbursing Rs 1,354.59 crore against the given target of Rs 1,581.53 crore earlier this week, and the banks were able to achieve 62% of the target by disbursing Rs 836 crore.
