Kabul, June 24: India delivered the second shipment of humanitarian aid on Friday to support Afghan people badly affected by the devastating earthquake that struck Afghanistan on June 22, 2022, killing more than 1,000 lives, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).The relief shipment was released by the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), which was headquartered in Kabul.India has also deployed a team to the Embassy in Kabul to help participants better manage humanitarian assistance.Taliban spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi said in a tweet on Thursday that India has accepted its offer to return diplomats and technical staff to their embassy in Kabul to continue their contacts with the Afghan people and their humanitarian assistance.A major magnitude earthquake in Paktika province killed around 1000 people in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to Taliban spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi.At least 1,455 people have been hospitalized in three of the six most affected districts, Barmal, Giyan, and Spera, many of whom are in serious condition.
