Wayanad (Kerala) India December 6: According to Meppadi police, five people have been arrested in connection with the suspected assault on a Students Federation of India (SFI) leader and a police officer in Wayanad district.According to police, SFIs Wayanad district joint secretary Aparna Gowri was assaulted by a group of students at Government Polytechnic College in Meppadi district on Friday, after which Aparna was admitted to a private medical college in Wayanand.According to the police chief, a police officer was also wounded in the attack, and 5 students were arrested and remanded in two cases.According to Meppadi police, a video of the same went viral on social media.
Officials said a student named Alan Antony was arrested and remanded after being charged with attacking the police officer under IPC sections 323, 333, 341, 353, and 506.
