Five people were murdered in a car accident in Ramban, Jammu.

On late Thursday night, a tempo traveler they were riding in collided with a deep gorge near Kela Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district, killing five people and injuring 12.According to police, the ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar when it collided with a vehicle near Kela Morh, causing severe injuries to the passengers of the car and the driver.According to police, a police team and QRT rushed to the scene and started a rescue operation alongside locals and other security forces.Four people died on the spot, one died on the way to the hospital, while ten others were injured.

According to police, Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam rushed to District Hospital Ramban and urged the hospital staff to provide the best medical attention to the wounded citizens.Several wounded individuals were eventually taken to government hospital Anantnag and seven to Jammu's Government Medical College (GMC), following initial assessment.According to locals, the tempo traveller was being driven in a reckless and rash manner, because it already had hit other vehicles before colliding with the car and crashed down the gorge.
