Four people were killed in a boat explosion involving an LPG cylinder on Patna's Ganga river.

PATNA (Patnas Maner): On Saturday, a country-made boat carrying 20 passengers caught fire in the midst of a domestic LPG cylinder explosion near the ghat of Sone river in the Patnas Maner district, killing at least four people and injuring several others.Following a leak in the LPG cylinder at Rampur Diara, Danapur, one of the laborers was cooking food on the vessel.According to police officials, the workers vanished from the scene shortly after the incident when they were carrying out the illegal sand mining activities.After getting the details of the events, SHO Rajiv Ranjan met with the police force.

The SHO has reported the death of four people aboard the ship as a result of the cylinder explosion.The incident took place at Patila Ghat around 9 a.m., when one of the workers was serving food on board.The cylinder caught fire and exploded with a scream.The diesel engine of the boat caught fire within a few seconds, and the laborers who were sleeping on the boat were charred to death, while the other workers managed to flee, according to Ranjan.

When the incident occurred, they seemed to be engaged in illegal sand mining.According to the SHO, the police have been probing the situation.The deceased has been named as a 32-year-old Ranjan Paswan, son of Shriram Paswan, Dashrath Paswan (32), son of late Prabhu Paswan, and Omprakash Rai (34), son of Ravindra Rai, all residents of Shobhanpur village in Sahebganj district, Jharkhand.The explosion was so strong that it could be heard only a few kilometers away.

The fire brigade arrived at the scene and began the rescue mission.
