Ludhiana, India: A 31-year-old man was arrested with 2.05 kg heroin and seized a fleet of luxurious cars he had purchased with the drug money, according to the Special Task Force (STF).Akash Chopra of Gurmail Park on Tibba Road was identified as Akash Chopra of Gurmail Park, according to STF officials.Besides the drugs, Rs 8 lakh drug money was recovered from him.Officials said the accused had installed hooters and pasted a VIP sticker on one of the vehicles to avoid being checked at the checkposts by an STF team.

According to STF officials, the accused worked with his father at their tea store in the courthouse, but he began selling drugs around seven years earlier.His family dumped him soon after.Following a tip-off, the suspect was apprehended at a checkpoint on the Tajpur road with 1.25 kilograms of heroin, according to authorities.Following a raid at Akash's home, a task force team recovered 800gm more heroin, Rs 8 lakh drug money, and cars, according to Inspector Harbans Singh, who is in charge of STF Ludhiana range.
