FTII student discovered hanged in hostel in Pune

Film and Television Institute of India student was last seen on Tuesday . Police believe he may have died a day or two earlier .

PUNE: Around 9 a.m. on Friday, a 32-year-old final year cinematography student from north Goa was discovered hanging from a window bar in a boys hostel room on the campus of the Film and Television Institute of India.The corpse may have died a day or two earlier, according to senior investigator Murlidhar Karpe of the Deccan Gymkhana police department.After a caller alerted us to the intrusive smell emanating from the room, we were compelled to deploy fire brigade troops to break in the room.The deceased used a nylon rope to hang himself from the window bar, according to legend.

We are looking at the exact cause of the student's suicide because we didn't see a suicide note in the room, according to Karpe.The body has been taken to the Sassoon General Hospital for a postmortem examination.The study has been awaited.The victim was last seen on Tuesday, according to the hostel students at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

According to Karpe, we have informed the victims' parents of the incident and they will be arriving in Pune tonight (Friday night).According to some hostel students who spoke with the police, the deceased was living alone in the room, and they had noticed him to be in a disturbed state of mind over the last few days.There was no interaction between the students and the attacker.He said that we would also keep notes of FTII officials and others to determine the actual reasons for the death, adding that an accidental death case had been registered for now.

His body was taken to the Sassoon hospital.The case is being investigated by the police.It is heartbreaking to lose a talented student.According to some students, the victim has been struggling with mental health problems for a while, but he refused to elaborate on the assistance he was receiving out of respect for his family.
