Jakarta (Indonesia), November 25, 2018: As part of the eighth edition of joint military exercise Garuda Shakti, Indian and Indonesian special forces conducted joint tactical drills, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence.Both nations participate in a joint exercise that aims to develop the knowledge of special forces and exchange of information on military equipment, tactics, techniques, and tactics.According to a Ministry of Defence press release, the joint military exercise between India and Indonesia focuses on physical fitness, tactical drills, tactics, and procedures, as well as lessons learned from diverse operations, such as special forces operations in jungle terrain, strikes on terrorist camps, and a validation exercise that integrates basic and advance special forces skills, as well as providing an insight into the country's lifestyle and culture to promote military cooperation.The joint military exercise will allow armies from both countries to better understand each other, enabling them to exchange lessons and combat missions on terror prevention, regional security services, and peacekeeping operations in a global context, according to the Ministry of Defence.
