Goa: A murder suspect who had been on the run for 15 years was captured in West Bengal.

Jackson Dadel was one of two men arrested for the murder of Godwin DSliva in 2005 . He was found guilty of stabbing to death Godwin DSilva in 2007 .

Goa, December 9: After Goa Crime Branch Police identified and apprehended a murder convict who was on the run for the past 15 years after fleeing from prison in West Bengal, he ran out of luck.According to police, the convict had changed his date of birth to the day of his escape from prison and was discovered working at a hotel in Goa on Friday.According to officials, Jackson Dadel, a resident of Bhatlem, was one of two men arrested for the murder of Godwin DSliva, a resident of Altinho, on April 23, 2005.At Panaji Town Police Station, a case involving IPC sections 449, 302 and 34 was registered, and both of them were arrested and sent to Margao jail for judicial remand.

Both Jackson Dadel and Rudolph Gomes, along with 12 others, broke open the judicial lock-up in Margao's jail gates, assaulted the jail guards, locked them in the jail, and fled.A case under IPS sections 224, 323, and 342 IPC was registered at Margao Police station, and police were searching for the suspect.In a statement released on Friday, we received a notice of Jackson Dadel's presence in Digha Town in West Bengal, about 200 kilometers from Kolkata, and on which a team of Crime Branch police led by DySP Suraj Halankar was deployed there and apprehended him.Rajeev Kashap, a former front office manager at a hotel in Digha Town, had changed his name and was now the manager of a front office.
