Governing body to inform all parties of G20 president

Payal Mehta New Delhi India: On November 25, the government has called a meeting of heads of all political parties in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, which will take place at 5 p.m. on December 5, according to sources.The meeting will be held on December 5th, and will inform political parties about India's assuming the G20 presidency.Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Rajya Sabha Leader, Piyush Goyal, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi have been invited to attend this special meeting, according to reports.According to sources, G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant is also scheduled to address the summit.

Starting December 1, India will assume the G20 presidency for a year.With the aim of fostering global economic growth and development, the country will host over 200 meetings.The G20 has a significant presence in the United States, with 85 per cent of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and two-thirds of its population living on it.The Global South is defined as the developing and less developed countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

The agenda will most likely be cooperation for sustainable and equitable development for shared global peace and prosperity, as well as capacity building to face emerging global challenges.
