In its response to the Delhi High Court, the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) said on Friday that it had followed the court's November 30 order to ensure that the alleged video of a judicial officer is taken down as soon as possible.It further informed the court that all URLs of the video in question have been blocked.As shown, Google has taken steps to remove URLs from its database.According to the ministry, Twitter has also withdrawn private chats, but Whatsapp said on Thursday that it will not pull down private conversations unless it is provided with specific phone numbers, and that the ministry of Electronics and Information Technology would then begin to investigate the complaint.The petitioner, who has posted the video on social media, was arguing that the video was fake and fabricated, and that the same is being used to badmouth the petitioner.
