Mumbai (Maharashtra) (India), November 15: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced on Tuesday that Vivek Joshi has been appointed to its central board.Joshi, the Secretary of the Department of Financial Services, will serve as the central bank's Director.The appointment will take place from November 15th, 2022, until further orders are required.Shri Vivek Joshi, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has been appointed a Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India by Vice Shri Sanjay Malhotra.
On November 1, 2022, Joshi assumed the position of Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance.Between 2014 and 2017, he served as joint secretary of the Department of Expenditure, where his responsibilities included the formulation of centrally funded public procurement plans and programs.
