Governor Phagu Chauhan of Bihar becomes unwell and is transported by air ambulance to Delhi

PATNA: Phagu Chauhan, the Bihar governor who was sick, was airlifted to Delhi by a special air ambulance on Friday.He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Delhi.Major Dhiraj Bisht told ADC to the governor, who is currently being treated at AIIMS-Delhi, where a team of doctors is monitoring his health status.Chauhan, 74, had been suffering from a mild fever for the past seven days, according to Raj Bhavan's results.

However, the governor was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences here on Thursday after complaining of a high fever and becoming semi-conscious.The governor was subjected to a thorough inspection at the IGIMS.Chauhan was informed by his doctors that he had a urinary tract infection (UTI) and that he had a high fever as a result of the check-up.The superintendent of IGIMS, Dr Manish Mandal, told reporters that the doctors treating the governor discovered an infection in his urinary tract.
