The SA20 League will open in South Africa on January 10 to February 11, 2023, with each of the six SA20 franchises-MI Cape Town (MICT), Paarl Royals (PR), Pretoria Capitals (PC), Joburg Super Kings (JSK), Durbans Super Giants (DSG), and Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) being selected as the tournament's opener, according to a SA20 League release. In an interview with the SA20 League, South African cricketers Quinton de Kock and Keshav Maharaj discussed the excitement of hosting such a major tournament in South Africa and how rewarding it will be for cricketers competing in the league.Quinton De Kock said he was looking forward to the unexpected.Weve had a couple of these tournaments in the past, but there hasn't been one in a long time. So, I guess looking forward to the exciting, we've had a few of these tournaments.

In the case of a new squad and the old guys who havent been involved in the big tournament, it will be very beneficial both for the new guys and the guys who have been involved in cricket. This is also something new to us, so this will be a great addition to the already-popular series, so I cant wait, he said.I've played with everyone, I know what I'm dealing with, so I'm certain the boys will have a lot of fun with them and with the fisherman as well.I know what I'm dealing with, so it's pretty straightforward for me, he said.Keshav Maharaj said he's looking forward to rubbing shoulders with new people, learning more about the sport from a T20 specialist, but most importantly, building new relationships on and off the track, and of course playing in my hometown, especially Durban.

It will also provide opportunities for young players to demonstrate their dexterity and skill on a larger platform.Since seeing what they did in the last Caribbean League, i'm looking forward to playing with Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder, who have a nice touch and some cool cricketing shots, he said.
