Gujarat: Five people charged in a daytime bank robbery

Five people arrested after daylight robbery in public sector bank in Ankleshwar . Police recover Rs 38 lakh looted money from gang members .

SURAT: Five people were arrested by the Bharuch police on Thursday after they carried out a daylight robbery in a public sector bank in Ankleshwar, and they also recovered Rs 38 lakh looted money on Friday.The investigation was announced by police within eight hours of the incident, which occurred at a Union Bank of India branch in Piraman Naka around 4 p.m. Rohit Rajkumar Singh, Ritesh Naval Mandal, Mukesh Naval Mandal, Manish Naresh Mandal, and Dipak Subodh Singh were among the six people arrested.Rahul Rajkumar Singh, the sixth accused, sustained a bullet injury when attempting to flee on Thursday, and will be arrested after discharge from the hospital.They took the loot under the influence of ganja.

All the gang members are from Bihar's Bhagalpur district and had been camping in Ankleshwar for the past few weeks to carry out a robbery.From them, police obtained four country-made pistols, two live cartridges, and two motorcycles.In the recent past, the motorcycles were stolen from Ankleshwar.Police have arrested four other suspects who were involved in the robbery and they will be charged after gathering more evidence.

They rode on two motorcycles and escaped with cash.Police followed one motorcycle of the robbers on the ONGC bridge, which was being shot in minutes, and responded to the loot within minutes.The robber lost control of the motorcycle and fell on the roadside.Rahul drove into a rickshaw and fired at a police team that was following them.
