Ahemdabad, Gujarat: Pathan Emtiazkhan Sidkhan, the JD(U)s candidate from Ahmedabad's Bapunagar seat, had the humiliation of receiving just 30 votes, the lowest by any candidate in the just-closed Gujarat assembly elections.The 45-year-old, on the other hand, said he would have gotten more votes if I had run as an independent candidate.He had earlier tried his luck in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat from his Kheda constituency, he had gathered over 5,000 votes, according to him.I was an independent candidate then.
