Dehgam, Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Gujarat has improved the education sector in the state and made it more rigorous and modern, highlighting an election issue that is being pushed aggressively by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is the state's largest budget spending group. It stands at Rs 33,000 crore today, more than the total budget expenditure of several states.“This is the progress we have made,” said PM Modi, who served as Gujarat Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014.The election in Dehgam will be held on December 5 in the second phase of Assembly elections.

He said that the campus of Rashtriya Raksha University near here is the center of Dehgam and Gandhinagar, and that the opposition party's leaders lack a vision for transforming Gujarat because they are constantly criticizing him.We are also working for the empowerment of the marginalized and middle class. The Congress used to simply throw some pieces at the problems of the poor people living in slums rather than finding solutions.According to PM Modi, it was the BJP that built pucca houses for them, seeking votes for his party, which has been governing Gujarat for the past 27 years and is hoping for a seventh term in office.Voting to elect a new 182-member Gujarat Assembly will take place in two phases: on December 1 (89 seats) and 5 (93 seats); and voting will begin on December 8.
