According to the recent memoandum, the other terms and conditions of his appointment would be in accordance with the institute's rules.The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, met on June 20 to find a larger pool of candidates for the post of director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).According to an office memo sent to the Union health ministry by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Department of Personnel and Training on June 20, the Competent Authority in the ACC has ordered to return the present proposal with the proposal to send a larger panel of names for consideration of the ACC.The names of three doctors were submitted to the ACC for final approval in March, after being selected by a search-cum-selection committee and then accepted by the Institute Body, the main decision-making body of AIIMS.
