Gurugram: A builder received a DTCP notice for carving out an unauthorised community.

Sabyasachi Infrastructure is building a residential licensed plotted colony in Farrukhnagar . The developer has signed sales agreements with individuals without having a license .

GURUGRAM (GURUGRAM): On Thursday, the department of town and country planning (DTCP) sent a show-cause notice to a builder for reportedly carving out an illegal colony and fraudulently collecting money from buyers.The department conducted an investigation and discovered that Sabyasachi Infrastructure is building a residential licensed plotted colony under the Deen Dayal Jan Aawas Yojna in Sector 3 of Farrukhnagar, based on reports lodged by investors.In addition, it was discovered that the builder was extending 3.5 acres of adjoining land to the colony without first receiving permission from DTCP, which is mandatory.According to the district town planner (enforcement), RS Batth said the builder has signed sales agreements with individuals without having a license.

According to he, the complainants also shared copies of contract sales and memoranda of understanding signed with the builder to DTCP.The department has issued a notice to the developer urging him to explain the situation and return a response within seven days.The notice states that the developer must state the true title to the 3.5 acres of land it claimed to be adding to its existing residential colony as well as the status of the application for a licence on the said land and the reasons for collecting money from the individuals.Batth said that if the builder doesn't respond in the stipulated time, strict action will be taken as per the Act's provisions.
