HC approves the continuation of the Group-1 selection process.

APPSC allowed to continue with selection process with riders by the Andhra Pradesh High Court . Appointments will be subjected to the final outcome of petitions contesting main exam findings .

VIJAYAWADA (viavia) – The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) was allowed to continue with the Group-1 selection process with riders by the AP high court on Friday.The appointments will be subjected to the final outcome of the petitions contesting the main exam findings, according to the high court.The APPSC was urged by the high court to seek representation from the eligible candidates that they will not claim any rights, and that if they want to contest, they should get themselves impleaded in the petitions.Several writ petitions have been filed by the high court opposing the third manual assessment of a major exam, in which 202 out of 365 candidates screened in a digital analysis were declared ineligible for interviews.

Petitioners appealed the single judge order, requesting that APPSC be prevented from conducting interviews and releasing final findings.Senior counsel B Adinarayana Rao and Jandhyala Ravishankar argued on behalf of the petitioners, and senior counsel SS Prasad presented arguments for the APPSC.
