LUCKNOW: The Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench has refused to postpone the suspension order issued against Kalicharan Inter College principal Mahendra Nath Rai.The court pricked him to reply to the chargesheet already handed over to him within 15 days.Any order to be issued by the college in the case would be subject to orders issued by this court, it added.Justice Rajan Roy issued the order on the petition brought by the principal, who opposed the committee of management of the college's board on May 25, 2022 for his suspension, as well as the order of district inspector of school (DIOS), which was issued on June 21, 2022, suspending him.

It was also argued that the DIOS did not give the petitioner a chance to speak before authorizing his suspension, and that his suspension order was injurious in practice.Senior advocate Raghvendra Singh argued that the benefit of DIOS in not giving the petitioner the opportunity of hearing cannot be given to the petitioner considering the charges' seriousness.According to Singh, reinstating the petitioner during the pendency of such investigation would be severely detrimental to the college's.
