IDA issues tenders for the construction of three major square flyovers.

Indore Development Authority has announced tenders to build three flyovers totaling around Rs 166 Crore in these circles . The authority has ignored bids to build a flyover at Khajrana, Bhawarkuan, and Luvkush Square for Rs 46 Crore, Rs 52 Crore, and Rs 67 Crore, respectively .

Indore is a city in India.The Indore Development Authority (IDA) has announced tenders to build three flyovers totaling around Rs 166 Crore in these circles in the hopes of easing traffic congestion at Khajrana, Bhawarkuan, and Luvkush (Bhawrasala).Following Shivraj Singh Chouhans' announcements on January 1 last year, IDA, in its budget 2022-23, made a provision for the construction of up to four flyovers in as many large squares.The authority has ignored bids to build a flyover at Khajrana, Bhawarkuan, and Luvkush Square for Rs 46 Crore, Rs 52 Crore, and Rs 67 Crore, respectively.

In the meantime, Indore Municipal Corporation has approached Kalchuri Samaj for moving a statue of Lord Sahastrabahu Arjun from Khajrana Square to somewhere else to allow for the construction of the proposed Metro Rail, according to IDA CEO Vivek Shrotriya, who said that traffic congestion is only increasing in said circles due to the construction of a six-lane flyover on Ring Road, as well as increasing vehicles and movement of the same.
