New Delhi, India, May 14: In a defamation lawsuit brought by the Indian Veterinary Association, the Delhi High Court summoned former Union Minister and MP Maneka Gandhi.Justice Amit Bansal released the summons to Maneka Gandhi on Tuesday, requiring her to make any defamatory remarks and remarks against the veterinary doctors, and said that the defendant will also file an affidavit of admission denial of the plaintiff's records as part of the proceedings.The Indian Veterinary Association has filed a lawsuit against it, through its President, Dr Umesh Chandra Sharm, and Treasurer, Dr Vijay Kumar.The matter was set to be heard on August 4, 2022 by Senior Advocate Sunil Mittal.The petition asserted that the defendant made multiple defamatory remarks and imputations against the veterinary profession during these calls, including Vikas Sharma in Gorakhpur and others.
