NEW DELHI: On Thursday evening, a four-story building in Rohini caught fire, killing a 25-year-old man and injuring eight others.Officials said a shoe making plant was being built on the ground and the first floors, while the rest of the floors were used for residential use.Delhi Fire Service reports that they received a call around 4 p.m. that a building in Sector 5 Pooth Kalan had caught fire, according to the service.At least ten fire tenders were dispatched to the location.Eight people were rescued.They have some injuries.They were all transferred to a hospital.Following more than two hours of battling, the firefighters were able to contain the fire. According to a senior officer, he was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.Ajay has been named the deceased.During the search, a male persons body was discovered on the ground floor of the house, which was later identified as Ajay, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini).According to an investigation, a shoe store was located on the ground floor of the building, and the deceased was living there.
